We are all looking for value for money when we eat out, it is true that people are not going out to restaurants as much as they used to, so when they do, they are looking for value for money, quality food and good service. Well you can’t go far wrong by visiting the Colosseum. Nicos Charalambos is the owner, chef and Sommelier of this well established Italian restaurant. He has worked in the industry since childhood and those who have already visited his place would know.
Having had a successful season in his second restaurant, Colosseum II, Nicos has listened to his local customers and now he is moving back to his original premises opposite the Avanti Hotel. Resident clients have expressed their preference to this location so Nicos is happy to listen and act on customer demands.
Colosseum I as it is now known; has true Italian feel as soon as you walk in. Marble statues adorn the terrace as you walk through the jasmine to the entrance. The ambience starts here and continues into the restaurant as you notice the paintings, a grand piano dominates the front, which is used and in perfect working order. The furnishings are plush, with a hint of luxury but unpretentious. There is a full wine and cava cellar, that Nicos is happy to show you and his knowledge of wine is second to none. Known for combining entertainment with gourmet food,  Colosseum I will be offering more classical events, fitting to the surroundings. Blue Jar will be one of the first musical ensembles to play here. The entertainment will be more background music with a classical twist.
Bookings are now being taken for Christmas and New Years Eve, this includes entertainment and fine food.

On Thursday 24 December we present our resident entertainer Peter Stirrat he will sing all your favourites plus the Christmas hits “ Sleep into Christmas” “Do They know its Christmas” “Merry Christmas Everybody” “white Christmas” This has to be the best Christmas show in town so early reservations are Essential.

New Year Eve
The Colosseum 1 is proud to present the biggest party night of the New Year on Thursday 31 December.  Our resident entertainers, Steve Richard and Peter Stirrat present their special show of party hits for you to sing and dance the night away with also the best Cabaret show from Las Vegas.
